Gigondas LaCave

Our winery is located in the heart of the Dentelles de Montmirail. Our vineyards cover 313 ha, producing Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Beaumes de Venise, Muscat Beaumes de Venise, as well as Côtes du Rhône, Villages and IGP.

Description

Since 1956, our winegrowers, ambassadors for the Crus of the Rhône Valley, have been cultivating their vines in a sustainable way that respects our terroirs. Our wines are the image of these passionate winemakers, proud of their values and their personality.

Gigondas LaCave, created in 1956 by a handful of winegrowers whose aim was to market their production in bottles, today has 74 members and represents 15% of the appellation, 128 ha in AOP Gigondas, (260 ha all AOP combined).

In this approach, then as now, there is always a fierce, militant desire to build on the land where we live, from which we live, to develop with other winemakers a high quality image for our wines from these exceptional terroirs around the Dentelles de Montmirail.

Our winemakers' lands are found throughout the Pays des Dentelles, hence our flagship expression: "7 terroirs, chords in major soils". Pebbles, gravel, silt, colluvium, safres, marl, limestone... From the garrigues to the foothills of the Dentelles de Montmirail, each terroir produces different berries, with staggered ripeness, hence the parcel-by-parcel selection made before harvest with the help of our technicians, winemakers and oenologists.

Today, we're proud to offer you wines from around the Dentelles, with appellations such as Gigondas, Vacqueyras, Beaumes de Venise and the famous Muscat de Beaumes de Venise.
