From the ridges, you can admire the view of the Fort de Mévouillon plateau and the succession of valleys running east-west, separated by ridges such as Croc and Bouvrège.
Description
To the north: the Ennuyée and Ouvèze valleys, followed by the Eygues valley; to the south, the Méouge, Toulourenc and Jabron valleys, with the imposing Ventoux and Lure mountains
which stand at the southern limits of our field of vision.
Departure point: Mévouillon, "Gresse, alt.820 m" Car park at the eastern entrance to the hamlet of Gresse.
1. Go up into the village. At the town hall, turn left, then 1st alley on the right. At the cemetery, fork right to reach "Haut de Gresse, alt.860 m".
2. Take the left-hand path towards "Montagne de Croc". Climb due north. After 200 m, go straight ahead to reach a track a little higher up.
3. Turn left, continue on the main track for 250m to reach a junction on a grassy flat.
4. Take the path opposite, walk 400m, the route splits in two.
5. Take a slight left to a new junction.
6. Leave the main track and turn right uphill on a stony path. Continue in the same direction as far as "Les Grenouilles, alt 1100 m".
7. Turn right onto the track towards Crête de Croc. After 1 km, you'll reach the 1st highest point and, 400 m further on, the second highest point, the Sommet de Croc (1303 m).
8. Continue along the ridge towards Montagne de Bouvrège. Once at the summit, the path descends to "Pas de Bouvrège, alt 1070 m".
9. Turn right down the track. Walk 500 m to the next crossroads.
10. Take a complete right.
11. Before the hamlet of Pelleret, turn west towards Gresse. Stay on the main path to Col de Riousse and then to point 2. From here, turn left to reach the parking lot.
