Built by the Dauphins in the 14th century to enlarge the city and favour trade.
Description
Gate Saint Jacques gives access to place des Arcades. This gate is the last one of the old medieval walls. Enjoy the tradition of Thursday markets, instaured by the Dauphins and confirmed by François the 1st in 1541.
The last restoration works dating from 2004/2005, re-united the courtyard, one of the city's main place.
