Take to the heights to discover several of the area's must-see spots. After passing through the Gorges d'Ubrieux, take a wide trail up to the Col de Milmandre and enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains.
Description
You'll then join a great monotrace that passes over the Col de Malpertuis before tackling the descent and returning to the starting point via a stretch of road.
The sectors you're about to tackle pass through a Natura 2000 area, renowned for its remarkable biodiversity. You too can contribute to its preservation by adopting an eco-responsible attitude. To the north of Buis-les-Baronnies, the Ouvèze has cut through a limestone rock bar, carving out small gorges. Well-known to climbers, these gorges are also very popular with rock birds. In recent years, the Griffon Vulture has returned to the cliffs below the Château d'Ubrieux. A little further afield, on the Montagne des Plates, rocks, scree and cliffs are home to several uncommon bird species. As early as April, the discreet Bluebird launches its melancholy, fluttery stanza from the rocky ridge.
